How to get Facebook Notifications on your Mobile Phone via SMS

Tired of signing into Facebook to check your notifications?? Well, same here.
I've got a better solution, and that is getting your notifications in your mobile phone via text messages  !!

Okay so what you've gotta do is go to your Facebook, click on the little globe on your top bar (notification icon) and go to the see all notifications option as done in the picture below:

After you are done, you can see the Subscribe : option , where you can subscribe via Text Message or RSS.

After you click on the Subscribe via Text Message option, you will get a list of the countries and their service providers. And they make you send a text message to their service number and you are all set to get your Facebook notifications to your mobile phone.
But wait!! What if your country isn't in the list?? Facebook is growing its services, and we can expect them to have the service in your country by a year or two, but that's too long! All you need is a plan-B.

So what exactly is plan-B?
Plan-B is something like you use a little bit of logic to get your notifications into your mobile phone. You must have SMS to E-Mail enabled in your mobile phone. Let us quickly get into it.
After being sure SMS to E-Mail is enabled on your mobile phone, go to the Account option on your Facebook homepage and click on Account settings.

You can see the E-Mail option. Click on it, and there is an option called Add New E-Mail. Add your phone's email address into the box and click on Add New E-Mail. Mine's already added so I wouldn't bother adding it again. A phone E-Mail address basically looks like your phone number + your service provider's domain name. Mine's something like 977980826xxxx@sms.ncell.com.np. Make sure you confirm your phone E-Mail address by following the instructions on your Facebook confirmation E-Mail. Also make sure the contact E-Mail is your phone's email now. The screenshot below can help :

After everything's done, go to the third tab on the Account Settings called Notifications, where you can choose on what stories to send a Notification and on what not to. This is a very useful feature Facebook has enhanced. Afterall all of us wouldn't want to get bugged by useless notifications coming every now and then.

And here's a demo of what the notifications looks like on my mobile phone :
The notification comes as a normal message
